dandy long legs or daddy long legs???????????

okay.......They are everywhere. I call them dandy long legs and others say daddy long legs........A friend told me that Newfoundland  and Irish people say dandy long legs........Anyway. I have to walk through them coming and going and they are a nuisance. Really harmless .A crane fly.......I am wishing them away .........Blueberry season is here and I bought a little basket. Would love to pick a few.....not a great year for them but the blueberries are ready now. Reminds me that I will have to hunt down some partridgeberries as well. Wild Blueberries,Bakeapples and Partridgeberries. What else would one wish for???????????Fresh cod maybe..........

Rocky Harbour/Tablelands /Woody Point

Driving to Gross Morne........

I did make it here. I am in Rocky Harbour DAY 1.. Rug camp has started and we had our first class earlier this evening. Driving back from Kildevil  to Rocky Harbour was a bit longer than I thought. I may have to leave before dark tomorrow . Lots of moose out this way and I don't want to meet one. We did see a fox outside our class window......A few around here ...........So it will be seascapes ,sky and hills tomorrow......Lots of hills around here and curvy roads..........I love the views .........must take a few pictures to post............

Places to walk .........

A few places that I have been walking . The first picture is Nagles Hill. I haven't been up there for years and it was nice to try it again. I did not make it to Big Pond which is a great swimming hole. Maybe next time........The 2nd photo is Cape Spear of course.I Did not walk up here but have in the past.....Spectacular views and if you are lucky you may even see a whale or two.

These next two photos are of Tors Cove. I did do 2 walks here last week. A great little hike on the East Coast Trail with Frankie. He managed to get a little muddy and so did I. We also walked around the town . Very pretty  and a wonderful day .

This is Kennys Pond and I had to take a photo of this. A beautiful little pond .I seem to be making it to all the walking trails around town. The next picture is from my Iowa garden I miss my flowers .......ah... I will be in Gross Morne in a few days .I hope to manage a few walks and of course lots of hooking at the NL Rug Camp.Always a great time with my rug hooking friends. Can't wait ...
