Paisley pattern and spring

My paisley is coming along nicely.It has been a good week so far. Hoping to get the second one finished tomorrow. I plan to hook them differently so it will be interesting to see how they turn out.the daffodils are in full bloom. Lots of colour around everywhere. We are having lovely weather. It may not be so great later in the week. It will be nice to see how the teacher does the braided or basket weave style rug. I will be trying that at home.There are some wonderful rugs displayed. A great group of rughookers who are very talented . It is nice to see the progress we are all making as the week goes by. Anyway.I am off to read and  to try to get to sleep early. Beautiful wool .I hope to learn something new ...........and maybe I will try another paisley on my own.They are so pretty...........

Sunny Sunday and shopping........ Paisley from Betty

It is a beautiful sunny and warm day  . I have been busy shopping for my two little grandsons. I managed to find a few nice summer outfits for them. I will have to get out to buy a toy to add to it.Another puppet!!!!!!!!!. I also have a  book from my sons godmother to mail to the little ones.I have a lovely piece of paisley to use with my new paisley design that I will be doing this week. Looking forward to it.  It was a wonderful gift from a friend. I walked all week and it does pay off when you stick to it. Planted my shamrock into a pretty soft sea blue pot. I may need to buy another pot.Yellow I think.My tulips and hyacinths are blooming . It will soon be time to get out and dig,dig, dig . Hopefully I can start adding a few more summer flowers and pull all the summer planters out .........Love this fabulous weather.......Bed early this evening.I will have a busy week............

Hooked pillows and the new pet carrier.........which she likes.........

Posting the new pink carrier with my pillows. the first pillow is a Kilim which I did  in a class a few years ago. The second pillow I punch hooked .It was my first time trying the punchhooking. I didn't like it as much as the traditional style . It is colder here today but I guess i will get out to walk .I missed getting out yesterday afternoon .We had a lot of rain.I hope the forecast is right and it warms up on the weekend...........Tea time now .........

nikko has a new pet carrier and she likes it and..a new vet

This small mat reminds me of spring . I did get out to walk yesterday and took a few pictures of flowers. My spring flowers are starting to bloom,.It will be time to start digging in the dirt soon. I love dahlia plants  and hopefully can plant a few soon. I took the cat Nikko to the new vet for her shots and they were great there.thanks.J for suggesting the place.So she is set up for another year. I must post her picture.It is raining now and I wanted a walk .Maybe I should go anyway.It is only a little rain.It is not so sunny today but hopefully tomorrow will bring more sun .Thinking about my paisley workshop coming up. It should be good.I tried to blow up an old photo to use as a design at the copy shop . I am having a bit of trouble and may have to haul out the projector or rethink the project. Drawing freehand is doable I guess.  I just went to the Internet camp and saw that a Newfoundland student had asked permission to use one of Gene Sheppard videos on Hooking a rug for a school project He gave his permission  which was nice to see. I hope the student does well and it is nice to see the Newfoundland traditions in the schools there. So good luck to the young student .Still raining  should I walk. or not........
